Simply treating the source and keeping on top of regularly washing and drying linens and clothing such as hats and coats that are used daily is the ticket to success.

The key time for this is after the first few cool days appear when people start wearing hats and coats that could be the transfer tool. Advise people to leave space in between their clothing and others. Remind people to not share such articles either. The fun is not worth the risk. Lice can’t fly or jump, so avoiding direct contact is the preferred preventive procedure.
