Bed Bugs in Group Homes

Adult bed bugs on the mattress indicated the possibility of close nesting pockets.

Frass and fecal matter on the box spring indicated areas of more frequent travel and nesting.

Different material touch points provide cozy places for bed bugs to hide

Larger amounts of fecal matter and frass indicate the need to remove dust caps.

In the dust cap removal process a large pocket of bed bugs. All but 2 had died from the prior heat. The last 2 endured just seconds more before expiring.

The dust caps proved to be the main shelter & hub for the bed bugs over an extensive time period.
